February half-term at Twycross Zoo celebrates Chinese Year of the Monkey

Gong Xi Fa Cai. Happy Chinese New Year and welcome to the Year of the Monkey – where better to spend the occasion than at Twycross Zoo?
We have 20 different species of monkey here at the zoo, 8 of which are threatened with extinction. We are delighted to join in the Chinese New Year festivity to highlight the contribution that Twycross Zoo make to the conservation of endangered monkey species.
Come and join us from 8th – 21st February as we celebrate all things monkey, and with special themed menus of delicious Chinese cuisine and 20% off hanging monkey toys in the shop, it’s a perfect place to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Your chance to win a family membership
We have put together a fun monkey trail for you to follow, with questions to answer and monkeys to find! Hand in your answers to guest services and a winner will be drawn at 3.00pm everyday from 8th – 21st February! And on Valentines Day this will include a special surprise for one lucky couple.
Join in the fun at our Chinese paper folding workshops
Join us in the Lorikeets landing from Saturday 13th – Sunday 21st February from 11.00am – 3.30pm and discover the art of Zhezhi – Chinese paper folding. Make and decorate your very own Chinese lantern to take home with you.
