Sci-Fi weekend at Twycross Zoo – 25% off if you’re in fancy dress!
Join us this August bank holiday weekend for a Sci-Fi extravaganza! Pack your sonic screwdriver and make sure the lightsaber is charged up – we’ve got the UK Garrison of the 501st Legion here at Twycross Zoo on the 23rd & 24th August!
The 501st Legion is the largest costuming organisation in the world and over the bank holiday weekend we will have their UK garrison here dressed up as characters from some of your favourite science fictions films and programmes including Planet of the Apes and Star Wars!
Plus thanks to the guys at Props Drop UK we now have Dr Who themed stuff too, including a life size TARDIS and Dalek.
So join us here on the same weekend that Dr Who regenerates back onto our TV screens and mingle with Apes, Storm Troopers, Daleks and plenty more of your favourite characters for a weekend of fun.
We are giving everyone who gets into the spirit of things and dresses up 25% off their admission price on the gate so you can have fun and a cheap bank holiday day out all in one!
We are encouraging everyone to dress up – adults and children alike but please be practical! Please be aware that you will not be permitted entry if you are carrying a prop weapon or similar that replicates something that is banned from this country or something that our staff believe would be frightening to our animals. Animal welfare is paramount and we reserve the right to ask people to leave if their behaviour in costume at any point frightens our animals.
Summer Sundown at Twycross Zoo – with X-Factor winner Steve Brookstein
Our three Summer Sundown music nights in July were a smash hit. In fact they were so popular with visitors we are putting on one more fantastic evening of music on 16th August.
And this time we are pleased to announce that we have, for one night, a special celebrity performer Steve Brookstein.
Steve, who was the first winner of The X Factor with a staggering 6 million votes, performs a varied soulful musical repertoire which includes a tribute to one of his biggest influences, Luther Vandross. Steve has a fantastic talent which you can check out via his website www.stevebrookstein.com
Steve will be supported by some great local talent (watch this space for details) and best of all we are repeating our special £5 after 5pm offer! The zoo will be open until 9pm with incredible music; tasty food and drink; interesting animal talks and feeds; plus a bouncy castle and face painting table for the kids!
So put the 16th August in your diary right now, pack up the deck chair and get ready– it’s going to be a good night!
