Not for the faint-hearted, HORRORS OF THE WILD is full of blood-curdling scares that will test your limits! The tables have turned on humans, so be ready to become prey!

As you enter the pitch-black zoo, you’ll be left to fend for yourself as you discover the terrifying reality of what animals face in the wild. If it’s not the creepy noises that freak you out first, it will be the gruesome beings, stealth predators and perilous poachers that have taken over the zoo that could get you at any time!


Include entrance to the Horrors of the Wild scare event.


INCLUDING entry to Horrors of the Wild & a meal of your choice from either:

Beef Chilli & Rice

Bean Chilli & Rice (Veg/Vegan/GF)

Chicken & Mushroom Pie, served with mash and peas

Vegan Sausage Roll, served with mash and peas (Veg/Vegan)

Each meal includes a soft drink of your choice. Food must be collected 30 minutes prior to your booked entry time.


You must bring your own torch – it will be needed
Under 12s not permitted (Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult)
This event is outside – dress for the weather – layer up!
Sensible footwear must be worn

Horrors of the Wild has restricted tickets available and is only bookable online by choosing an arrival timeslot between 6.00pm-9:15pm. All food (with combo tickets) must be collected 30 minutes prior to your booked entry time.

Arrival time slots must be kept to. Horrors of the Wild tickets do not include day entry to Twycross Zoo. The duration of the event is approximately 1hour to 1hour 15 minutes. Once ‘escaped’ you will not be able to re-walk the route again. All animal habitats will be closed during the event and at no point do we guarantee that you will see zoo animals. There will be a limited number of ‘safe zones’ throughout the experience offering a place to rest, drink and use toilet facilities. Suitable for teens and adults only – under 12 year olds will not be admitted to this event. This event is not recommend for those; pregnant, with breathing difficulties or heart conditions.

Safety Measures

We aim to make your time with us not only enjoyable but also safe. In order for us to do this we ask you to take the time to read through our safety protocol which needs to be followed at all times.

The following safety measures must be adhered to at all times by all visitors during the ‘Horrors of the Wild’ event at Twycross Zoo:

Covid-19 Risk control:

  • Face coverings are encouraged in any indoor area.
  • The main walk takes place outside.
  • Self-distancing of others is promoted and will intensify your experience.
  • Do not touch the horror team, they will not touch you.
  • Wash your hands / use sanitiser frequently.
  • The health and safety of our visitors, team members and animals is our number one priority therefore do not attend if you are showing symptoms of covid-19.

Tickets to Horrors of the Wild are non-transferable and non-refundable. This event is outside and will go ahead in most weather conditions. All food must be collected 30 minutes prior to your booked entry time.

Twycross Zoo reserves the right to cancel the Horrors of the Wild Event with less than 24 hours’ notice to ensure we are following the most up to date government guidelines. In the event of cancellation, Twycross Zoo will aim to change the date of the event to the next appropriate available date. If for reasons beyond our control, the date of the event cannot be moved, Twycross Zoo will ensure you receive a full refund for your Horrors of the Wild booking. Please allow up to 30 days for your refund to be processed.

Tickets to Horrors of the Wild are non-transferable and non-refundable. We have however introduced exceptions to this rule in light of the current situation around Covid-19. We will therefore exchange your ticket to a zoo day ticket for a future date, on proof of a; positive Covid-19 result or requirement to isolate, resulting in your being unable to attend our evening event.
