Submission of images to this competition is taken as acceptance of our terms and conditions.
Entries that are found not to comply with the competition rules will be disqualified. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.
Proof of age may be required.
Original files should be available should your picture make the shortlist.
Entry costs £5 per person for up to 5 photographs.
Half of the proceeds raised from this competition will go towards Ape Action Africa, a charity dedicated to helping gorillas, chimps, and bonobos in Cameroon, Africa.
Half of the proceeds will go to Twycross Zoo and their conservation work.
Entrants must not compromise the welfare of captive or domestic animals, and must not cause any distress to an animal or damage their habitat while attempting to photograph them.
All entries must include a valid email address.
The personal data submitted by entrants to this competition will be managed by Twycross Zoo in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Entries must be uploaded through the Twycross Zoo website. Entries sent by email, post, or social networking will not be accepted.
The Judges’ decision is final.
The competition is open to photographers of every skill level.
All images must be the exclusive work of the submitting photographer and may not include any element that is the copyright of another.
Photographers may use limited digital editing techniques such as contrast, colour balance and sharpness. Composite images or images that have been overly manipulated to the degree that they are no longer a true representation of the original image will be disqualified.
By entering the competition you agree for your image to be used by Twycross Zoo in Marketing, online, publicity and merchandising in connection with the competition. Credit will be given to the photographer where possible. The photographer retains copyright to the image.
