Upcoming Conservation Welfare Talk on bonobos

On Wednesday 20th August Dr Zanna Clay from University of Neuchatel, Switzerland will be presenting on bonobos. From her years of research, Dr Clay will speak on how bonobos can teach us about our own evolution, her experiences working with them in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and why their existence is threatened. Twycross Zoo is the only UK zoo to hold bonobos, an endangered ape that only come from the swamp basins of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We have held the species since 1992 and have bred 12 individuals since then.

The talk will be held in Windows on The Wild in Himalaya and will start at 19:00pm. It is £3 for members and £5 for non-members, which includes light refreshments. To book please contact Guest Services on 0844 4741777
