Help to support the charitable work of Twycross Zoo (registered charity number 501841) by choosing to Gift Aid your admission.
If you are a UK tax payer, you and your family members can become Gift Aid visitors.
Our ticket price contains a small suggested donation to the zoo and our conservation work. You can choose not to pay this small donation if you wish, but without it we cannot claim Gift Aid. With it, we can claim back the tax on your donation from the Government, which works out at an extra 25p for every £1 you spend.
If you are not a UK taxpayer, we cannot claim Gift Aid but you can still choose to include the donation in your ticket price. As a charity all our profits go back into looking after our animals, our conservation efforts and wages for our dedicated team.

Your Gift Aid donation will be used to support the charitable work of the zoo. This could be looking after our animals here at the zoo or to help us support our conservation projects, such as ‘Lola Ya Bonobo’, the world’s only bonobo sanctuary.
Bonobos are our closest relatives, sharing around 98% of our DNA. Every year thousands of bonobos are hunted and sold for their meat or enter the pet trade. This has made them a very endangered species.
‘Lola Ya Bonobo’ is the only sanctuary in the world that takes in orphaned and injured bonobos. Orphans are commonly found in awful conditions, with severe injuries and suffering from malnutrition. Often this means one of the human ‘mamas’ taking on the role of the orphan’s mother.
Twycross Zoo houses the only colony of bonobos in the UK.

To be able to gift aid you must be able to agree to the following statement:
I would like to Gift Aid my donation to Twycross Zoo – East Midland Zoological Society Limited. I confirm that I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and / or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amou7nt of Gift Aid Claimed on all my donations it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
I understand Twycross Zoo – East Midland Zoological Society Limited will reclaim 25p of tax for every £1 that I have given.
I will notify the charity if, I want to cancel this declaration, I change my name and / or home address, I no longer pay sufficient tax on my income and / or capital gains.
If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax
relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax
return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
