CHOOSE YOUR FAVOURITE...

We have three different types of adoption boxes to choose from: Bronze, Silver, and Gold, with 13 different animals to choose from. 

Bronze, Silver, and Gold boxes range from £30–£90, regardless of which animal you choose. 
Payment is made as a one-off payment for the full year. 
Your adoption can be renewed by purchasing another annual box. 

When you purchase an adoption box, you're pledging towards a species, rather than an individual animal. 

As part of our conservation efforts, many of the animals in Twycross Zoo's care are part of European-led programmes which protect them for the long-term future, as part of these programmes individual animals may move to other zoos if and when necessary.

Therefore, each adoption supports a species, helping to protect them for the long-term, just like our conservation efforts.

Bronze Adoption Box 

The Bronze Adoption Box is a great way to show your support and learn more about your chosen animal.

Silver Adoption Box 

The Silver Box includes all the essentials plus added benefits to enhance your visit. 
Includes: 

  • Full animal fact sheet 

  • Official adoption certificate 

  • Soft toy 

  • Keyring 

  • 2 × annual admission tickets 

Please note:

  • Personalisation applies only to your admission tickets, not the physical adoption box itself. 

  • You can add a message that will appear on your tickets (e.g., “To: [Name], From: [Name], with a message”). 

  • The physical adoption box will not be personalised in any way.

 

Gold Adoption Box 

Our premium Gold Box offers the most complete adoption experience with exclusive recognition. 
Includes: 

  • Full animal fact sheet 

  • Official adoption certificate 

  • Soft toy 

  • Keyring 

  • 2 × annual admission tickets 

  • Personalised plaque displayed at the animal habitat

Please note:

  • Plaques are installed within 60 days of purchase 

  • Plaques are displayed for 12 months from date of install

  • Personalisation applies only to your admission tickets, not the physical adoption box itself. 

  • You can add a message that will appear on your tickets (e.g., “To: [Name], From: [Name], with a message”). 

  • The physical adoption box will not be personalised in any way. 

Your adoption box starts on the date of purchase and is valid for 12 months.

Your adoption plaque will be displayed at the animal habitat within 60 days of purchase. 
 
Once displayed, plaques remain in place for 12 months.

Please note: 

  • Once the 12-month display period ends, plaques will be removed and recycled. 

  • As plaques are displayed outdoors, they cannot be collected or kept. 

  • We take care to reuse materials where possible and dispose of any remaining items in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. 

Please note, adoption boxes will dispatched from Wednesday 9th December.

Following this, if purchased online for delivery, your box will be shipped the next working day. 

  • Purchases made on a Friday will be posted the following Tuesday. 

  • Please allow 3–5 working days for delivery before contacting us. 

  • Adoptions are posted second class  

We also offer a Click & Collect option, allowing you to purchase online and collect in-store. 

If your adoption is urgent, please contact us to request first-class postage, and a member of the team will assist you.

Visit our website and head to the adoption page. You'll find all the instructions there to purchase online.

In Store 

You can also purchase in person at our main Himalaya Gift Shop. 
The shop is free to visit, and customers receive 30 minutes free parking.
