📢 Important visitor update 📢
You may notice some work going on around the zoo during your visit. We're sorry for any inconvenience, but we promise it's all for a very good reason. Here's what's happening:
🏮 Lanterns of the Wild
We're carefully dismantling the lantern trail following our wonderful winter event. If you missed it this year, don't worry, the epic Lanterns of the Wild will return in November 2026, bigger and better than ever.
🐒 Habitat Reimaginations: Reopening at Easter
We're transforming two of our animal habitats ready for an exciting relaunch at Easter. In the meantime:
Chimpanzees can still be viewed through the windows to the left of their habitat.
Bonobos can be viewed from the exterior viewing platform, walk down Conservation Way towards the Plaza, turn right, and the platform is behind Gorillas.
🌍 The Global Conservation Centre
We're laying the groundwork (literally!) for the future of conservation. The Global Conservation Centre is our most ambitious project yet. You may notice cable and groundworks near the Gorillas area. To find out more about this exciting development, visit the information panel next to Gorillas or view the link here.
Our team are always on hand, please don't hesitate to ask anyone in a Twycross Zoo uniform for help in having the best possible day.
Every ticket you purchase supports our work as a conservation charity, and includes free 12-month return visits. We hope you'll come back later this year to see everything revealed. Thank you for your patience and support. 💚
