Dive into Summer at the Festival of Animals
28th Jun 2023
Families are invited to dive into an adventure-filled summer at Twycross Zoo and enjoy a host of brand-new entertainment throughout the school holidays, for just £15 each.
Families can benefit from the exclusive saving this summer, and visit the Zoo in August for just £15 each when booking in advance online. And in celebration of the Zoo’s brand-new online Gift Shop, visitors can buy any item and enjoy 25% off, for all purchases made online before Monday 8 August.*
Visitors to the Zoo will be able to enjoy Twycross Zoo’s eye-catching Creatures of the World parade**, packed full of costumed animal characters and interactive performers. With giant inflatable birds, colourful underwater creatures and bouncing land mammals, families can expect plenty of excitement and entertainment during the Zoo’s roaming parade this summer.
For those looking for something more relaxed, chill out at one of Twycross Zoo’s brand-new animal yoga sessions. Available at selected times from Saturday 16th July to Sunday 4th September, visitors can discover how animals from across the world move, from the Flamingo Pose to the Giraffe Pose, and take a moment to relax during their day at the Zoo.
Little animal lovers will also have the chance to take a seat for a special summer storytime. Running every day throughout the school holidays, guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in fun and fascinating tales about the animal kingdom from Twycross Zoo’s entertainment team.
Families can discover more than 400 animals from over 80 different species in Twycross Zoo’s amazing animal kingdom. Visitors can come face-to-face with some of the world’s most endangered species – including rhinos, bonobos and the Sumatran tiger – and learn more about the Zoo’s ongoing conservation efforts to protect and preserve them.
During their day out, visitors can also experience The Gruffalo Discovery Land – a brand-new four-acre adventure which aims to inspire the Zoo’s youngest visitors about the importance of conservation and protecting the natural world. The new land has been developed in partnership with brand managers Magic Light Pictures and is inspired by the best-selling picture book The Gruffalo written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
With games, animatronics, film clips and real-life animals to discover – including snakes, owls and butterflies – visitors to The Gruffalo Discovery Land will follow in Mouse’s footsteps along their interactive journey through the deep dark wood. Families can also enjoy three brand-new, family-friendly and educational shows exclusively for summer at The Glade, all of which highlight the importance of protecting the natural world.
With so much more on offer including hand-feeding the lorikeets, walking with lemurs, walking through the awesome tiger tunnel and running wild in the outdoor and indoor play areas, there’s something for everybody at Twycross Zoo this summer.
