Become a volunteer at Twycross Zoo
As a conservation charity zoo, volunteering is an amazing way to become a part of our mission. Help to inspire a love and protection of wildlife, engage visitors with our incredible animals, and play a key role in sharing our conservation impact with others - all while gaining valuable experience in a unique and rewarding environment.

As a volunteer, you'll:
- Greet visitors and provide directions to key areas of the zoo
- Talk to our visitors, sharing information about the zoo's role as a conservation charity and providing a fun and informative visitor experience.
- Answer general visitor questions about directions, timings, and locations.
- Highlight the unique adaptations or conservation challenges of selected species.
- Explain the zoo's conservation projects and strategy.
- Encourage appropriate interaction with animals and provide guidance during talks or educational activities.
Please note: volunteers will not participate in the direct care or treatment of our animals.

About you:
- Be aged 16 or over
- Be passionate about people, animals, and conservation
- Have a willingness to listen, learn and keep up to date with information
- A strong understanding of what guest obsession entails and to be happy to contribute to this.
- Be reliable
- Maintain a positive attitude and greet visitors with a smile
We're not looking for animal experts! A passion for wildlife and conservation can be developed through training and experience
