A big thank you to the staff of Twycross Zoo from the board

I wanted to take the opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment of all staff at Twycross Zoo, not just through the difficulties of Covid, but also more recently.

The Board of Trustees responsible for Twycross Zoo is fully committed to all the exciting things we are doing here; from looking after our collection and our visitors, to building world leading facilities such as the National Science and Conservation Centre, as well as expanding our conservation and environmental impact.

In May of this year, I asked David Meek to stand down as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and work as the Interim CEO at Twycross Zoo. I am pleased to be able to inform you that David has confirmed his commitment to stay with us in that role for at least the remainder of 2022. That will provide some certainty and help us develop our long-term strategy and objectives.

The Board of Trustees would like to reiterate its gratitude to each and every member of staff at Twycross Zoo for their continued enthusiasm and to David and the leadership team for their continued commitment to the charity.
