2. Prepare for your visit and the possibility of queues
The school holidays can be a busy time for us at the zoo and our team work hard to park and welcome visitors as quickly as possible to enjoy a great family day out. As a charity our visitors’ patience and support is greatly appreciated so we can continue our award winning conservation work.
To make the most out of your day, we’d advise;
- Book online in advance as we only have limited tickets available!
- Check travel alerts before setting off on your journey
- Avoid arriving at peak times between 10am-11am. Our car parks are open from 8am, breakfast is served in Himalaya from 8.30am and the zoo closes at 6pm.
- If you are traveling from the North on the M42, our suggestion is to get off at Jct 12 and take the HGV route along the B4116 to Twycross Zoo.
- Please note; there will be separate queue lines for TZ Members during the school holidays. Ask a member of staff for more information when you arrive.
3. Breakfast from 8.30am overlooking the Snow Leopards
Before your day begins, enjoy a delicious breakfast from 8.30am at The View Restaurant in Himalaya overlooking our beautiful big cats – can you catch a glimpse of our beautiful Snow leopards as you tuck into your full English or pancakes? Check out The View Restaurant menu here.
