Twycross Zoo has won a People’s Postcode Lottery Grant!
Pupils from six local primary schools are taking part in Eco-Rangers, an amazing after-school club at Twycross Zoo, thanks to kind support from the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Key Stage Two children have been given the opportunity to learn about the natural world, and how we can work together to protect some of the world’s most at risk and endangered animals.
The People’s Postcode lottery have supported the Eco-Rangers afterschool club through providing transport to ensure that these interactive and fun sessions can take place in the zoo grounds, surrounded by the sights, smells and sounds of Twycross Zoo animal residents. Eco-Rangers not only learn how to support exotic animals and habitats from around the world, but also the native habitats right here in the heart of England. Children learn how to protect nature in their own community in practical ways- by making bird feeders, bug hotels and much more!
Thank you very much to the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery for your support for the Eco-Rangers club.
