Great Ape Survival Partnership (GRASP)

The Great Ape Survival Partnership (GRASP) was founded in 2001 at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in South Africa. GRASP aims to ensure the long-term survival of gorillas, chimpanzees, bonobos, orang utans and their habitats in Africa and Asia.

GRASP Great Apes

GRASP works under 6 key priority areas which are political advocacy, habitat protection, conflict sensitive conservation, disease monitoring, green economy and illegal trade. These priorities represent their vision and goals, and emphasize the importance of partnerships for great ape conservation.
